Attachment With Infants and Toddlers - RU# 1772 12/3/26

In this training, childcare providers will explore how early relationships shape children’s brain development, emotional well-being, and lifelong learning. Participants will learn how positive interactions and responsive caregiving help build healthy brains and support children’s social-emotional growth. Through discussion, reflection, and practical strategies, we will explore the importance of attachment and how strong, nurturing connections help children feel safe, valued, and ready to learn. Providers will gain tools for creating meaningful relationships with children through everyday interactions, routines, and communication. The training will also examine how personal experiences, assumptions, and implicit bias can impact relationships with children and families. Participants will reflect their own perspectives and learn ways to build more inclusive, respectful, and culturally responsive connections with the families they serve. By the end of the training, participants will have a deeper understanding of the powerful role relationships play in early childhood and leave with practical strategies to strengthen trust, connection, and belonging in their programs.
